Our application servers of choice are Jetty, Tomcat, or the current version of JBoss Our preferred development environment is BSD/Linux/Unix, although given the cross platform nature of our development effort, the operating system for deployment is extremely flexible. We have deployed applications to Mac OSX, Windows, Linux, and BSD based servers.
Our preferred databases include Oracle, MySQL and PostGreSQL, but as we develop using open standards, virtually any JDBC or ODBC compliant database is perfectly acceptable for deployment.
