Common Questions

What should I use for my mail server settings in my email client?
  • incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • outgoing mailserver: you must use your ISP’s mail server.
  • Username: your full email address (i.e. john@mycompany.com)
  • Password: this was supplied to you when you signed up.

Where do I go to check webmail?

Where do I go to add/delete/modify my email accounts?
  • http://mailadmin.verilion.com. Log on as postmaster for your domain, with the password you were supplied when you signed up. You can also log on as an individual user to change only the information for that account (i.e.john.smith@somewhere.com can set his vacation message, etc. but not change any other user’s information).

How can I access my web site to make changes?
  • ftp to ftp.yourdomain.com with the username and password supplied to you when you signed up.

Can other people see what’s in my directory when they ftp to the server?
  • No. All ftp access is restricted to a user’s own directory.

Where do I go to see traffic reports?
  • Go to http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/awstats.pl. The reports are updated hourly.

What are my primary and secondary nameservers supposed to be for my domain?
  • Primary: castor.verilion.com (198.164.196.236)
  • Secondary: pollux.verilion.com (198.164.196.222)
